What Are Digital Access Guides?

Our Digital Access Guides are built by disabled people for disabled people. DisabledGo provides a comprehensive range of access guides to meet the needs of both disabled people across the UK and visitors from overseas. Unlike many other guides all of DisabledGo’s venues are surveyed in person and regularly reviewed.

Whilst “access audits” have long been a lucrative source of income for surveyors across the UK, DisabledGo has maintained its unique approach of visiting every venue in person and more importantly compiling its guides based on extensive consultation with local disabled groups and people.

DisabledGo’s success to date has been directly related to its ability to deliver a compelling ROI for its customers and apply its unique approach in order to help both public & private sector clients deliver the following:

  • Enhanced customer experience
  • Improved operational efficiency
  • Enhanced employee engagement
  • Improved talent recruitment
  • Enhanced approach to Corporate Social Responsibility
  • Improved awareness of disability legislation
  • Enhanced brand reputation

A detailed access guide provides a graphical summary of the venue’s accessibility using access icons, together with highly detailed information in relation to each of the key features of the venue. The guide describes a customer's journey into and throughout the venue and includes photographs of the features covered. Detailed access guide are used for places where they are likely to spend a reasonable period of time, for example:

  • tourist attractions
  • theatres
  • museums
  • hotels

  • hospital wards
